P. Chris CozbyWelcome You've found Chris Cozby's home page. This is also a good place to find Paul C. Cozby, author of Methods in Behavioral Research. I teach in the Psychology Department at Cal State Fullerton. Read on if you're curious to find out more. I live in Yorba Linda in Orange County, California with Jeanne King, a professor of management at Cal State San Bernardino. My son Josh attends Northern Arizona University. He used to work at my favorite bookstore, And there is Brisco dog and two cats: Kirby and Pharis. With all those animals, it's hard to get away. When we do go away, our favorite spot is Prescott, Arizona. One of these days, we'll get out of here and get a double-wide in an Arizona trailer park. I've been teaching at CSUF for just about forever. I came here after graduating from UC Riverside and the University of Minnesota. I am known as being sensitive to student needs. The picture at the top of the page shows me greeting a student during my office hours. You can listen to me using charm and positive reinforcement when I answer a student's question in class. Or you can visit my Psych 300, Computers in Psychology page. My research interests are fairly eclectic. I have studied attraction and love. Love has an interesting presence on the Internet. Besides the chat rooms where people can meet, flirt, and plan their futures together, there are web sites devoted to the topic of love and romance. You can even take a surveys on internet relationships. I have also studied self-disclosure. This proves that psychologists always study stuff they can't do. Lately I have done more applied research. I was once the director of the CSUF Social Science Research Center where I conducted applied social research studies. Stop by my office in H-715B or send a mail message if you want to discuss conducting research or doing independent study.
As with most pages on the web, this one will continue to evolve. I'll be including pages on some of my favorite things such as sports, tv and movies, and music, or I might point you to something outrageous such as sea monkeys or an incredibly incredible randomly chosen Suck column. So come back again. Send an e-mail message with your comments and suggestions. And if you are wondering if that's really me in the picture, read about my page. Now go do something useful, like chew a mento. |
